PEACE-DOT COMMUNITY — HOW TO...

Where is the domain of peace?
—Help others find ways and means

Sure you want peace in your life and community. How can you connect to others to ensure that it happens and can be sustained.

Help visitors find a way to build community

Care2 is a place where people can organize around the causes they care about.

You can refer visitors to Care2 to find organizations and groups who care passionately about the things that matter.

Get informed — Take action — Connect.

Mild—

Care2 has a section for peace and non-violence, as well as a Peace-dot domain. You can link directly to either of them by including a link to http://peace.care2.com/ or http://www.care2.com/causes/peace/ on your web page.

WiserEarth is a free online community space that lets people find others working on similar issues, connect, share ideas and build networks and create groups for communities of action. The OpenWiser project will make it possible for websites to embed the search mechanisms of WiserEarth in a website.

Stay tuned—

We’ll post more about the API here when it’s ready.

Spicy hot—

You’ll be able to build these solutions into your own website. We anticipate that they’ll require some knowledge of HTML and probably “restful” APIs that you’ll embed in your server-side pages.
